Kei Furuta brings more than 30 years of international business experience, the majority of which have been spent in the digital infrastructure industry in North Asia. He is adept at transforming companies into high margin, ecosystem focused businesses, through key partnerships and innovative products. Prior to joining Digital Edge, Kei served as the Managing Director of Equinix North Asia for more than a decade. Under his leadership, Equinix Japan expanded its operations from 2 to 18 data centers and the team grew from 30 to over 650 employees. He also successfully guided the Equinix business on its entry into the Korean market.

He is a native of Japan and holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Waseda University, Tokyo.
